2 Months Old (and more photos)

New photos! We haven't posted photos recently due to some computer issues, so here are some photos over the last month. More playtime, reading, baths, and bottles. Katelyn is smiling more, "talking" more, starting to really suck her fist, and getting more steady with holding her head up. She had her 2 month check-up which went well although she didn't enjoy the shots. She started daycare (half days to start with) and is adjusting to the new environment. She'll be 3 months old on Sunday.

Family Time and Rattle Time

Aunt Christi came to visit this week - she got to hang out with Katelyn and me and fed Katelyn a bottle. Grandma and Grandpa came down on Wednesday for a quick visit. Katelyn held her rattle for the first time this week.

Weekend with Family

This weekend we spent with Jason, Christie, Thurston, and the Grand Parents. Jason, Christie and Thurston met Katelyn for the first time. We all had a great time. Thurston is talking so much now and was able to say and remember 'Baby Katelyn'. Great seeing you guys and can't wait till you move out to Colorado!

August 9

Random Happenings

Katelyn is really starting to enjoy her baths. I am giving her one Sunday and Wednesday nights. We have started trying to read her a book at bedtime so she gets into an evening routine. Grandma came down on Sunday and Monday which gave me an opportunity to go climbing! (Pictures) Katelyn has been getting a little more fussy, but she is still doing great!

August 6

First Real Hike

We went hiking on the Anne U White trail with Katelyn today. It took us about 1:20 to go 3.5 miles. It was a great hike and Katelyn seemed to enjoy it. She slept most of the time (except when I almost fell into the stream.) It was a gorgeous day.

First Bottle

I gave Katelyn her first bottle today. She seemed to like it. Hopefully this will give Stacy some much needed rest in the evenings so she isn't feeding every 3 hours, 24 hours a day.

One Month Old

Katelyn is one month old today! Katelyn went to the doctor today and was 9 lbs 7 oz. She is doing great. She got a vaccine shot and was not too happy about it. She just keeps growing and growing.

July 20 - One Month Old

Grammy and Grampy Visit

Grammy and Grampy came up to visit Katelyn for a 4 day weekend vacation in the "Longmont/Boulder Area." We had a fun weekend with lots of time for Stacy and I to go out for dinners and lunch on our own.

Katelyn and Mommy - Week 1

This was the first week that I had Katelyn on my own. We made it out for a walk in the stroller every day and got in some good play time. Katelyn is starting to hold up her head a little bit when she's on her tummy.

Play Time

Here are some photos from the last few days. Katelyn has gotten some good tummy time in and doesn't seem to mind it. She is able to turn her head from side to side. We also went for another "hike".

First Book

Brian read Katelyn her first book today called "Who Do You See?". Katelyn likes looking at her zebra and panda bib that matches her panda outfit.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July with Katelyn and her Grammy and Grampy. Dad grilled some flank steak. We took some pictures of the fam in the "Studio." Fun day and Katelyn is 2 weeks old today!

First "Hike"

We took Katelyn out for a "hike" around a local lake. We put her in the Baby Bjorn (Thanks again Jason and Christie). Stacy and I also had the treat of going to Five Guys for lunch by our selves. We left Katelyn with Grammy and Grampy Brown. We also got a walk in after dinner. Great Day.

July 3

Weight Check

Katelyn had her weight checked yesterday and she was 7 lbs 15.5 oz. Here are some photos from that visit and some miscellaneous photos from our other camera including our first self portrait of the family.

First Walk in the Stroller

We took Katelyn on her first walk in the stroller today (Thanks Jason and Christie for the stroller). She enjoyed it once we got going. She was a little fussy getting in and out of the car seat, but what are you going to do.

First Bath at Home

Katelyn had her first bath at home today. It was just a sponge bath, but a bath just the same. She wasn't all that happy about it because it was chilly.

June 28-29

1 Week Old

We had another good day on Katelyn's one week birthday. Our friends John and Maggie stopped by with their two kids. It was great to have visitors. Jim grilled burgers for dinner. We finished off the night with some wii bowling and Mario Kart.

June 25-26

Bilibed

Katelyn had a great visit with her doctor on Wednesday. She is gaining weight on her way back to birth weight. Her bilirubin count was a bit high (just barely) so she got to be in the Bilibed for Wednesday night and Thursday morning. She wasn't too happy about that, but we all made it. We went on got her count today and it is down to acceptable levels so she is free!

June 23-24

Leaving the Hospital

We had a good day today. We left the hospital around 3:30 and headed home. It is nice to be home! (Even though I am writting this at 3:30 holding Katelyn, trying to let Stacy sleep.)
